This matter is taken up through video conferencing mode. 2.

Heard Mr. K.P. Mohanty, learned counsel for the petitioners and Mr. D.K. Mohanty learned Additional Standing Counsel.

According to learned counsel for the petitioners, the petitioners are aggrieved by the manner in which investigation is going on in connection with Muribahal P.S. Case No.146 of 2021 registered for commission of offences under Sections 341/294/506/379/34 of I.P.C. According to him, till date none of the accused persons has been arrested rather, after lodging F.I.R. they have become violent and are harassing the petitioners. He further submits that though highlighting all their grievances, the petitioners have approached the Superintendent of Police, Bolangir (opposite party No.2) by submitting a grievance petition vide Annexure-2 through registered post on 15.11.2021, however, till date nothing has been done in the matter. In such background, he prays that a direction be issued

// 2 // to the Superintendent of Police, Bolangir to take a decision on the grievance petition of the petitioner within a specific time period.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the Superintendent of Police, Bolangir to take a decision on the above noted grievance petition of the petitioner under Annexure-2 in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order, if in the meantime, the same has not been disposed of and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioner No.2, who in turn is directed to share such information with the other petitioners. 5.

Accordingly, this CRLMP is disposed of.

Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
