This matter is taken up through Hybrid arrangement (virtual/physical mode).

Heard Mr.Mohanty, learned counsel for the Petitioner and Mr.S.S.Rao, learned counsel appearing for the Board of Secondary Education.

The limited grievance of the Petitioner in the present writ application is for correction of his date of birth as 09.09.1999 in the HSC Certificate as per his Birth Certificate under Annexure-2. He has further prayed for issuance of a fresh certificate with correct date of birth.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for the Petitioner that the Petitioner has submitted a representation before the Secretary, Board of Secondary Education, Odisha authority on 14.11.2021 along with supporting documents and the same is pending as of now.

Mr.S.S.Rao, learned counsel appearing for the Board of Secondary Education submits that he will have no objection if a direction is issued to the opposite part No.2 to consider the representation submitted by the Petitioner in accordance with law within a stipulated period of time.

In such view of the matter, the writ application is disposed of with a direction to the Opposite Party No.2 to consider the representation submitted by the Petitioner in accordance with law and dispose of the same by passing a speaking and reasoned order within a period of eight weeks from the date of production of certified copy of this order.

The decision so taken on the representation of the Petitioner shall be communicated to the Petitioner within 10 days thereafter. 8.
It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merit of the case.

With the aforesaid observation, the writ application stands disposed of.
