Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Addl. Standing Counsel for the State.

The petitioner is in custody since 23.11.2022 in connection with Sadar PS. Case No. 607 of 2022 corresponding to G.R. Case No. 1549 of 2022 pending in the Court of learned S.D.J.M., Dhenkanal for the alleged commission of offence under Sections 341/354/354-A(2)/323/307/324/506/34 of IPC.

It is alleged that in course of fight between two neighbours, the petitioner is said to have assaulted one Mayadhar Behera causing injuries on his head and other parts of his body. The injury report on police requisitions shows all the injuries are simple in nature. 5.

Considering the above fact as also the fact that nothing further remains to be done in so far as investigation is concerned, I am

inclined to allow the prayer for bail. Let the petitioner be released on bail on such terms and conditions as the court in seisin over the matter may deem fit and proper to impose including the condition that he shall personally appear before the trial court on each date of posting of the case without fail.

The BLAPL is accordingly disposed of.
