This matter is taken up through video conferencing.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel for the State.

This is an application under section 438 of Cr.P.C. for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in connection with Sahadevkhunta P.S. Case No. 362 of 2021 corresponding to C.T. Case No. 1054 of 2021 pending in the Court of learned S.D.J.M., Balasore for the commission of the alleged offences punishable under sections 457 and 380 of the Indian Penal Code. Perused the first information report annexed to the anticipatory bail application.

In view of the nature and gravity of accusation

// 2 // and the manner in which the ornaments and other articles along with cash of the deity of Basuli Temple, Sovaramur were stolen by breaking open the lock, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. The prayer for anticipatory bail stands rejected.

ABLAPL is disposed of.
