Heard learned counsel for the parties.

The sole grievance of the Petitioner in the present writ petition is that she has submitted a representation dated 3.12.2021 before the District Education Officer, Kandhamal, Opposite Party No.4 with a prayer to transfer her to any school at Khajuripada Block under Kandhamal Education District on the ground that she is a lady and her husband is also posted under the said block. The Petitioner has further submitted in the representation that there are several posts of Assistant Teacher, which are lying vacant under Khajuripada Block.

Mr. S. Jena, learned Standing Counsel for School and Mass Education Department submits that the grievance of the Petitioner should be addressed to the Director, Elementary Education

// 2 // Department, Bhubaneswar, Opposite Party No.2, who is in fact the Appellate Authority in such matters.

In such view of the matter, the Petitioner is directed to file an appeal before the Director, Elementary Education, Odisha, Bhubaneswar, Opposite Party No.2 within a period of ten days from today along with all relevant documents. In such event, the Opposite Party No.2 shall dispose of the same in accordance with law and pass appropriate order therein. The decision so taken in the appeal shall be communicated to the Petitioner within a period of one week thereafter. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case.

With the above direction, the writ petition stands disposed of.
