The grievance of the Petitioner in the present writ petition is that the Governing Body of Karanjia Autonomous College, Karanjia, has been illegally constituted without following the due provision of law. Further the Petitioner has challenged the decision of the Higher Education Department, vide its Notification No.48227 dated 26.11.2021 under Annexure-1 and prays for quashing of the same. 2.

Heard learned counsel for the Petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for State.

Learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that he has filed a representation before the Opposite Party No.1 on 08.12.2021, but no action has been taken on the said representation as of now. 4.

Mr. Praharaj, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the State submits that he has no objection if a direction is given to the Opposite Party No.1 to consider the representation of the Petitioner under Annexure-5 within a stipulated period.

In view of the above, this Court directs Principal Secretary, Department of Higher Education, Bhubaneswar, Opposite Party No.1 to dispose of the representation of the Petitioner dated 8.12.2021, if the same is still pending before him, within a period of six weeks from the date of production of certified copy of this order by the Petitioner. It is needless to mention here that the representation of the Petitioner shall be considered and disposed of by the Authority by passing a speaking and reasoned order. Decision so taken, shall be communicated to the Petitioner within a period of ten days from the date of such decision. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case. 6.

With the aforesaid direction, the writ petition stands disposed of.
