This matter is taken up through Video Conferencing mode. Order No.

The present CRLMP petition has been filed with a prayer to pay compensation to the Petitioner, who is the mother guardian of the minor victim girl in JGR No.22 of 2016/36 of 2017 in the file of Juvenile Justice Board, Jajpur, as per the provision of Odisha Victim Compensation Scheme, 2012.

Heard Ms.Susama Pradhan, learned counsel for the Petitioner and Mr.T.K. Praharaj, learned Standing Counsel for the State.

Mr. Praharaj, learned Standing Counsel for the State submits that Odisha Victim Compensation Scheme, 2012, the Petitioner has to approach the District Legal Service Authority, Jajpur, Opposite Party No.4 in this case and the compensation under the aforesaid scheme should be granted by the District Legal Service Authority, Jajpur.

Learned counsel for the Petitioner seeks liberty to approach the Opposite Party No.4's office for payment of compensation under the Odisha Victim Compensation Scheme, 2012.

Having heard learned counsel for both the sides and keeping in view the larger interest of justice, this Court directs the Petitioner to file an appropriate application before the Opposite Party No.4 for payment of compensation under the Odisha Victim Compensation Scheme, 2012. In the event such an application is filed by the Petitioner within a period of two weeks hence, the same shall be considered by the Opposite Party No.4 in accordance with law within a period of two months from the date of production of authenticated copy of this order. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case. 7.

With the aforesaid direction, the CRLMP stands disposed of. 8.

As the restrictions due to resurgence of COVID -19 situation are continuing, learned counsel for the parties may utilize a print out of the order available in the High Court's website, at par with certified copy, subject to attestation by the concerned Advocate, in the manner prescribed vide Court's Notice No.4587, dated 25th March, 2020, modified by Court's Notice No.4798, dated 15th April, 2021, and Court's Office Order circulated vide Memo Nos.514 and 515 dated 7th January, 2022.
