Heard Mr. R.K.Routrary, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. S.K.Samal, learned Additional Government Advocate through video conferencing mode.

At the outset, on oral prayer of the learned counsel for the petitioner, he is permitted to implead Deputy Commissioner of Police, Cuttack Urban Police District Cantonment Road, Cuttack as opposite party No.3 to the present application. Office is directed to carry out the consequential correction in the cause title.

According to Mr. Routray, the petitioner is aggrieved by the manner in which investigation is going on in connection with Purighat P.S. Case No.181 dated 19.9.2021 registered for commission of offences under Sections 341, 294, 379, 506/34 I.P.C.

During course of hearing, Mr. Routray submits that liberty may be granted to the petitioner to move the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Cuttack (opposite party No.3) in the matter by filing a grievance petition and the said opposite party

// 2 // be directed to take a decision on such motion at an early date. 5.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court grants liberty to the petitioner to file a grievance petition before opposite party No.3 through registered post within a period of two weeks from today. In the event, such a petition is filed along with a copy of this order, the opposite party No.3 would do well to take a decision on the same in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of such grievance petition and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioner.

Accordingly, this CRLMP is disposed of.

Urgent certified copy of the order be granted on proper application.
