Heard Mr. Pradipta Varma, learned counsel for the petitioner and Sk. Zafarulla, learned Additional Standing Counsel.

According to Mr. Varma, the petitioner is aggrieved by the tardy manner in which investigation is going on in connection with Chandrasekharpur P.S. Case No.416 dated 1.10.2021 registered for commission of offences under Sections 498-A/323/294/354/377/506/34, I.P.C. read with Section 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961. During course of hearing, he submits that though highlighting all her grievances, the petitioner has filed grievance petition dated 20.11.2021 before the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Bhubaneswar (opposite party no.3) under Annexure-3 Series sending it through Speed Post on 26.11.2021, however, till date no action has been taken on the same. In such background, he prays that necessary direction be given to
// 2 // opposite party no.3 to take a decision on the said grievance petition within a specific time period.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Bhubaneswar (opposite party no.3) to take a decision on the above noted grievance petition dated 20.11.2021 under Annexure-3 Series in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of production of certified copy of this order and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioner. 5.
The CRLMP is accordingly disposed of.

Issue urgent certified copy of this order on proper application.
