This matter is taken up through video conferencing mode. 2.

Heard Mr. M.R.Badajena, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. D.K.Mohanty, learned Additional Standing Counsel.

At the outset on oral prayer of Mr.Badajena, he is permitted to implead State of Orissa as opposite party No.4 in Court today.

According to Mr. Badajena, the petitioner who happens to be visually disabled is aggrieved by inaction of the authorities in considering her case for extending the benefits either under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana or Biju Pucca Ghar Yojana and of a ration card. He further submits that though highlighting her grievances, the petitioner has approached the Collector-cumDistrict Magistrate, Angul (opposite party No.1) on 19.7.2021 by filing a representation vide Annexure-3 however except directing the Block Development Officer, Kaniha (opposite party No.3) to look into the matter nothing more has been done to redress the grievances of the petitioner. In such background, he prays that a direction be issued to the opposite party No.1 to take a decision

// 2 // on the above noted representation within a specific time period. 5.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the Collector-cum-District Magistrate, Angul (opposite party No.1) to take a decision on the above noted representation of the petitioner in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of production of certified copy of this order and communicate the result of such exercise to petitioner. 6.

Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of. 7.

Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
