1. The Petitioner's representation dated 27th September, 2021 be disposed of by the Deputy Commissioner of Income Tax, Circle 1, Cuttack (DCIT) after hearing the Petitioner by a reasoned order not later than 7th March 2022 and the said order shall be communicated to the Petitioner not later than 14th March, 2022. Till then no further steps will be taken pursuant to the impugned notice dated 31st March, 2021 issued under Section 148 of the Income Tax Act, 1961.

2. If the Petitioner is aggrieved by the order of the DCIT, it will be open to it to seek appropriate remedies in accordance with law.

3. The Court clarifies that it has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case.
