This writ petition involves the following prayer: "

P R A Y E R Under the above circumstance, it is therefore humbly prayed that this Hon'ble Court may be graciously pleased to admit this writ application, issue Rule NISI in the nature of writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ/ writs as deem fit and proper calling upon the parties to show cause as to why they shall not be, directed to issue Ration Cards in favour of the Petitioners immediately and why direction shall not be given for enquiry and why penal action shall not be taken against the persons involved in the said illegalities and unlawful actions."

Considering the submissions made by the parties, this Court directs, in the event any such application at the instance of the Petitioners for issuance of ration cards in their favour is still pending,

// 2 // the same shall be considered and disposed of by passing a lawful order thereon, within a period of one & half months from the date of communication of an authenticated copy of this order by the Petitioners.

The writ petition stands disposed of with the above direction. 5.

As restrictions due to resurgence of COVID-19 situation are continuing, learned counsel for the parties may utilize a printout of the order available in the High Court's website, at par with certified copy, subject to attestation by the concerned advocate, in the manner prescribed vide Court's Notice No.4587, dated 25th March, 2020 as modified by Court's Notice No.4798, dated 15th April, 2021 and Court's Office order circulated vide memo Nos.514 & 515 dated 7th January, 2022.
