This matter is taken up through video conferencing mode. 2.

Heard Mr. Tripathy, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. Mohanty, learned Additional Standing Counsel. 3.

According to Mr. Tripathy, the petitioner, who happens to the informant in Badagad P.S. Case No.409 of 2021 registered for commission of offences under Sections 341/354/294/506/ of I.P.C. read with Section 12 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2005 is aggrieved by the manner in which investigation is going in the said case. According to him, till date the accused has not been arrested. He further submits that though highlighting all her grievances, the petitioner has approached the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Bhubaneswar (opposite party No.2) on 27.12.2021 by filing a grievance petition vide Annexure-2 sent through speed post on the same day, however, till date nothing has been done in the matter. In such background, he prays that a direction be issued to the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Bhubaneswar to take a decision on the

// 2 // grievance petition of the petitioner within a specific time period. 4.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Bhubaneswar to dispose of the above noted grievance petition of the petitioner under Annexure-2 in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, if in the meantime, the same has not been disposed of and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioner. 5.

Accordingly, this CRLMP is disposed of.
