This matter is taken up through hybrid mode.
2. The husband of the Petitioner while working as VLW/PEO in the establishment of Block Development Officer, Mahanga, Cuttack retired on 31.07.2018 / died on harness on 08.11.2019. As it appears, the revised pension, pensionary benefits and arrears of the deceased employee & family pension has not been released. As such, the wife of the deceased employee has come to this Court challenging the inaction of the Opposite Parties in not granting such benefits.
2. In view of the limited grievance of the Petitioner, this Court disposes of the writ petition with a direction to the Opposite Parties to release the revised pension, pensionary benefits and arrears of the deceased employees & family pension in favour of the Wife-Petitioner within a period of two months from the date of communication of an authenticated copy of this order by the petitioner, failing which, the persons responsible for delay in releasing the revised pension, pensionary benefits and arrears of the deceased employee in favour of the Petitioner shall be liable to pay interest @ 18% per annum, if there is no legal impediment.
3. It is the responsibility of the Petitioner to serve an authenticated copy of this order on the Competent Authority within a period of ten days, as undertaken.
