The contempt petition has been filed pleading wilful disobedience of order dated 24.12.1993.

The relevant portion of the order is reproduced below:- "In this situation, it is directed that the respondents will consider the claims of the petitioners for admission to the MBBS course in order of merit. In case, Manpreet Singh Brar does not join or any other seat is available, then the cases of the cases of the petitiners shall be considered for admission. The needful shall be done within two weeks from today."
