* * * * S.J. VAZIFDAR, C.J. (ORAL) This is a petition under Section 11 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 for the appointment of an arbitrator.

The arbitration proceedings have been going on for the last few years. It is true that long dates have been given. However, there is nothing on record to support the contention on behalf of the petitioner that the arbitrator has expressed his inability to continue. If the arbitrator refuses to continue with the proceedings, that would be another matter altogether.

In these circumstances, the petition is disposed of. However, the arbitrator is requested to try and conclude the proceedings as expeditiously as possible.
