* * * * S.J. VAZIFDAR, A.C.J. (ORAL) This is a petition under Section 11(6) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 for the appointment of an arbitrator. 2.

The parties had entered into a construction contract clause 22 whereof contains an arbitration agreement. Within fifteen days of the receipt of a notice of the existence of disputes, the respondent was entitled to send the petitioner a panel of three persons and the petitioner was to name one of them as an arbitrator within seven days. The petitioner by a letter dated 13.01.2015 invoked the arbitration agreement. There has, however, been no response to the same to date.

In these circumstances, the petition is disposed of by appointing Shri S.S. Singh Dahiya, a retired District and Sessions Judge, Haryana as the sole arbitrator.
