* * * * S.J. VAZIFDAR, C.J. (ORAL) This is a petition under Section 11 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 for the appointment of an arbitrator. 2.

This petition is similar to ARB-219-2017 wherein the parties had consented to the appointment of the sole arbitrator. 3.

The parties had entered into a contract clause 46 whereof contains an arbitration agreement.

Disputes and differences having arisen between the parties, the petitioner invoked the arbitration agreement by its letter dated 07.03.2017. The parties have been unable to agree to an arbitrator. The respondent has otherwise agreed to appoint an arbitrator.

In these circumstances, the petition is disposed of by appointing Mr. Justice Jagdish Singh Khehar, former Chief Justice of India, as the sole arbitrator.
