(ORAL) Petitioner has preferred this writ petition for the issuance of an appropriate writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent No.2 to consider and decide the applications dated 04.11.2019 and 17.02.2020 filed by the petitioner for grant of Stage Carriage permit on a route Dhuri to Barnala and Raikot to Sangrur in terms of Clause 3-E of the New Transport Scheme of 2018.

The grievance of the petitioner is that despite moving the aforesaid applications, needful in the context of taking final decision has not been done by the Competent Authority/respondent No.2 so far. CWP No.51 of 2023 -2notices dated 07.11.2020, 03.03.2022 and 12.12.2022 upon the Competent Authority and the same have not yielded any positive response.

At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that petitioner would be satisfied in case his legal notices are directed to be considered by the Competent Authority in accordance with law within a specified period. Notice of motion.

On the asking of the Court, Mr. R.S. Pandher, Sr. DAG, Punjab accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.
