* * * * S.J. VAZIFDAR, C.J. (ORAL) These are petitions under Section 11 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 for the appointment of the sole arbitrator.

Each of these petitions is a separate matter. The agreement in each of them and the issues arising in these petitions are similar. They are, therefore, disposed of by a common order.

The parties had entered into separate contracts in respect of each of the petitions. Each of the contracts contains a similar arbitration agreement. Disputes and differences have admittedly arisen in these matters and each of the petitioners have invoked the arbitration clause. 4.

The above petitions are, therefore, disposed of by appointing on the written request of both the parties Mr. A.K. Sharma, a retired Additional District and Sessions Judge, Jalandhar, as the sole arbitrator. The request is taken on record and marked 'X'. The fees shall be as per the Chandigarh Arbitration Centre (CAC) (Administrative Cost and Arbitrators' Fees) Rules, 2014.

It is clarified that the reference in each of the petitions shall be separate and the learned arbitrator shall pass a separate award in respect of each matter. (S.J.
