* * * * S.J. VAZIFDAR, C.J. (ORAL) This is a petition under Section 11 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 for the appointment of an arbitrator.

The petitioner had entered into a Memorandum of Understanding dated 05.07.2010. Clause 3 recorded that the petitioner had paid the entire price and that the respondent had agreed to pay him a fixed amount per month payable quarterly till physical possession was handed over to him. The respondent had also made certain demands on the petitioner. Disputes and differences had arisen between the parties. The petitioner invoked the arbitration clause by his letter dated 09.08.2016.

In these circumstances, the petition is disposed of by appointing Shri C.B. Jaglian, former District Judge, Haryana, as the sole arbitrator.
