(ORAL) Petitioner has preferred this writ petition for the issuance of an appropriate writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent No.2 to consider and decide the application filed by the petitioner on 17.02.2020 for grant of Stage Carriage route permit in terms of Clause 3-E of the New Transport Scheme of 2018 read with Chapter V of the Motor Vehilces Act on the route Sherpur to Sangrur. Grievance of the petitioner is that despite the application dated 17.02.2020 followed by the legal notices dated 07.11.2020 and 12.12.2022, the needful in the context of grant of Stage Carriage permit on the aforesaid specified route has not been done so far.

In view of the nature of prayer made by the petitioner, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.1 to take note of pending legal notices dated 07.11.2020 and 12.12.2022 and pass an appropriate order in accordance with law, preferably within a period of one month from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
