* * * * S.J. VAZIFDAR, C.J. (ORAL) This is a petition under Section 11 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 for the appointment of an arbitrator on behalf of the respondent.

The petitioner has already nominated an arbitrator. The respondent has no objection to an arbitrator being appointed on its behalf.

The petition is, therefore, disposed of by appointing Mr. Justice Aftab Alam, former Judge, Supreme Court of India, now residing at H. No. 15, High Court Judges Colony, Sector 105, Noida - 201301, Uttar Pradesh, as the arbitrator on behalf of the respondent.

The two arbitrators shall appoint the presiding arbitrator and proceed accordingly. The venue shall be the Chandigarh Arbitration Centre.
