(ORAL) Learned State counsel at the outset has opposed the prayer made by the learned counsel for the petitioner for extending the concession of bail to the petitioner. He, on instructions from HC Ranjit Singh, has informed the Court that besides a huge recovery of 5000 tablets of Tramadol and 2400 tablets of Alprazolam having been effected from the petitioner, he was also involved in another case under the NDPS Act, in which he stands convicted. In addition, learned State counsel has informed the Court that the trial is nearing conclusion as the prosecution evidence stands recorded and the next date fixed before the trial Court is 12.03.2024 for defence evidence. 2.
In view of the instructions received by the learned State counsel, counsel for the petitioner does not press the instant petition. 3.
Dismissed as not pressed.
