COCP 1002/2018

IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB & HARYANA

AT CHANDIGARH COCP 1002/2018 Date of decision:03.04.2018.

Nirmal Kumar ..............Petitioner v.

Chetan Bangar and another ..............Respondents Coram:

Hon'ble Mr.Justice Jaswant Singh Present:- Mr.R.S.Tacoria,Advocate for the petitioner Jaswant Singh,J,(Oral).

Petitioner claims that his predecessors-in-interest namely Daulat Ram and Durga Dass sons of Mathu Ram were allotted two standard acres and 81⁄2 units of agriculture land in Village Bana, District Hoshiarpur vide allotment letter dated 14.3.1989 based on their possession. It is not disputed that the aforesaid land was earlier allotted to one Amar Singh on 22.1.1952 but was subsequently cancelled and communicated on 9.1.1978 by the Managing Officer concerned, being a case of double allotment. The cancellation orders were challenged before the authorities by the legal representatives i.e. daughters of Amar Singh and successor-in-interest Mohinder Singh which were decided against them and became final upto this Court.

Petitioner has filed the present contempt with the allegation that the Revenue authorities are continuing to show the revenue entries in favour of daughters of Amar Singh inspite of cancellation order having become final against them.
