  The petitioners, being the candidates for the recruitment to the post of constables pursuant to a recruitment notice issued in the year 2016, pray for direction to the respondents to re-measure their respective physical height under the supervision of an independent agency. In a previous petition filed by the petitioners, the respondentauthorities were directed to re-measure the height of the petitioners and other candidates. Admittedly, in compliance with the previous order, the height of the petitioner and other candidates has already been re-measured. The petitioners claim that the procedure adopted for remeasurement of the height is not in accordance with the directions issued by the High Court in Review Application no.155 of 2018, directing the authorities to start using digital stadiometer which is properly calibrated.   In the considered opinion of the Court, the facts alleged are required to be proved by leading sufficient evidence. Hence, the petitioners, if so advised, may file a civil suit.
