Mr. Rajkapoor Malik, Advocate for the petitioner. JASWANT SINGH, J (ORAL) This Court vide order dated 13.7.2017 had directed the employer-private college to pay the amount of gratuity due within three months from the date of receipt of certified copy of the order to the petitioner, who retired as Assistant Professor in Chemistry from the respondent-private college.
Since the needful was not done within the prescribed period, hence the present contempt petition.
Upon notice for today, Sh. Ashish Chaudhary, Advocate has put in appearance and handed over a cross cheque dated 25.4.2018 amounting to Rs.1,44,456/- to learned counsel for the petitioner towards the total claim of gratuity.
In these circumstances, no further cause of action arises so far as the present contempt petition is concerned. Disposed of.
Rule discharged.
