******* SURINDER GUPTA, J.(Oral) Vide order dated 17.07.2017, a direction was issued to the Collector before whom petition under Section 11 of the Punjab Village Common Lands (Regulation) Act, 1961 was pending, to decide the stay application within a period of one month. Similar direction was also issued to Appellate Authority where the petition filed by the petitioner, challenging the order of eviction was pending, to decide the stay application within a period of one month.

This petition has been filed against B.D.P.O., Panchayat Officer and other persons to whom no direction was issued. No action is required to be taken against the respondents arrayed in this petition, particularly when the Collector or the Appellate Authority have not been arrayed as party. Consequently, this petition is dismissed against the respondents with liberty to the petitioner to avail other legal remedy available to him. Rule discharged.
