1. The petitioner seeks issuance of directions to the official respondents to provide adequate protection to the petitioner and to other members of his family as he apprehends threat to his life and liberty at the hands of private respondents No.4 to 23. The petitioner also seeks issuance of directions to restrain the respondents from lodging a false FIR against the petitioner.

2. Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioner but without commenting anything as regards the veracity of the averments made in the petition, the instant petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2Superintendent of Police, District Nuh to get the representation dated 22.12.2023 (Annexure P-2) examined qua the alleged threat perception of the petitioner. In case, it is found that there is genuine threat to life and liberty of the petitioner, then necessary steps as warranted under law be taken thereupon. As far as the prayer of the petitioner to restrain the respondents MOHAN SINGH 2024.01.08 19:10 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment

CRWP-87-2024 (O&M) ( 2 ) 2024:PHHC:000871 from lodging any FIR against him or against other members of the family is concerned, needless to say that the police is expected to consider the facts and circumstances before lodging any FIR in accordance with law and as such no direction restraining the respondents can be issued in this regard.

3. A copy of this order along with copy of representation dated 22.12.2023 (Annexure P-2) be sent to respondent No.2-Superintendent of Police, District Nuh for necessary compliance.
