(Oral) Present petition has been filed by the petitioners seeking direction to respondent No.2 to protect the lives and liberty of the petitioners from the hands of respondents No.4 to 8, who are stated to be harassing the petitioners in connivance with respondent No.3, with further prayer for taking appropriate taken legal action on the representation (Annexure P-1) which is stated to be pending before respondent No.2. On notice of motion, reply was filed on behalf of respondent No.1 to 3 by way of affidavit of Mr. Jaspinder Singh, DSP, Circle Khamanon, District Fatehgarh Sahib, as per which it has been recorded that GAURAV SOROT 2022.04.20 17:28 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

( 2 ) CRWP-91-2022 no such representation as stated by the petitioners was ever filed by them before the police authorities. Further it has been stated that there is no danger to the lives and liberty of the petitioners at the hand of private respondents.

The counsel for the petitioners has refuted the aforesaid submissions made by respondents No.1 to 3 in their written reply. The counsel for the petitioners submitted that even now the private respondents are extending threats to both the petitioners who are issue-less and the private respondents are intending to grab their property. In view of the above, the present petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.2 look into the matter and to assess the threat perception, if any is there to the petitioners and if the situation so warrants, to take action in accordance with law to protect the lives and liberty of the petitioners.
