The order of the Writ Court mandated the Zonal Recruiting Officer, ZRO, Jalandhar (respondent No.2 in the writ petition) to re-consider the claim of the petitioner for appointment in the Armed Forces in accordance with the latest medical report dated 24.1.2015 submitted by the PGIMER, Chandigarh. Although a direction was issued to consider the same within a period of two months, the respondents have however, granted consideration somewhat belatedly in June, GHANSHYAM DASS 2015.09.08 15:21 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document high court chandigarh

C.O.C.P. No.1339 of 2015 -22015. They have denied appointment to the petitioner on the ground that the report of the PGIMER establishes a problem of vision of the petitioner as he suffers from corneal opacities.

Since re-consideration has been granted and reasons have been given for keeping the petitioner away from appointment, I am of the opinion that this may not be strictly a case where the respondents could be proceeded against under the provisions of the Contempt of Courts Act. Consequently, the instant petition is disposed of as having become infructuous with liberty to the petitioner to impugn the order so passed by the respondents.
