The petitioner is seeking issuance of directions to respondents No.3 to 5 to conduct fair, impartial and proper investigation in FIR No.268 dated 29.11.2022 under Sections 302 and 34 of the IPC registered at Police Station Sadar Ferozepur, District Ferozepur.

Learned State counsel in compliance of order dated 01.02.2023 has filed status report by way of affidavit of Surinder Pal, Deputy Superintendent of Police (City) Ferozepur on behalf of respondents No. 1 to 4, which is taken on record.

Learned State counsel while drawing attention of this Court to paragraph No. 7 of the status report, has submitted that an enquiry has been marked to DSP(PBI) Special Crime, Ferozepur. He submits that the SIT is SATYAWAN 2023.07.21 11:05 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

Criminal Misc.No.M-5036 of 2023 -2- 2023:PHHC:092148 likely to conclude its investigation within the next one month. In view of the reply filed by the State, learned counsel for the petitioner does not press the instant petition. Disposed of accordingly.

It would be expected of the SIT to conclude its investigation as expeditiously as possible since the occurrence in question took place in November, 2022.
