SUVIR SEHGAL, J. (Oral) Through the instant petition, the petitioner seeks anticipatory bail in case FIR No.134 dated 21.09.2014 registered under Sections 21 and 22 of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 at Police Station Valtoha, District Tarn Taran.
On 28.01.2020, this Court passed the following order:- "The petitioner has filed this petition under Section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 for grant of anticipatory bail in case FIR No.134 dated 21.09.2014 registered under Sections 21 and 22 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 at Police Station Valtoha, District Tarn Taran.
Learned Counsel for the petitioner has submitted that on 07.11.2019 the case was adjourned to 30.11.2019 but the Counsel for the petitioner by mistake noted down the wrong SAVITA KADIAN 2021.09.08 16:00 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document High Court Chandigarh
CRM-M-3525 of 2020 {2} date as 04.01.2020 and absence of the petitioner on the date of hearing was not deliberate/intentional but due to the abovesaid mistake. Notice of motion.
On the asking of the Court, Mr. Arun Kaundal, DAG, Punjab accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-State. Copy of the paper book has been supplied to learned State Counsel, who seeks time to complete his instructions.
Adjourned to 01.04.2020.
In the meanwhile, the petitioner is directed to appear before the Trial Court within seven days from today and on such appearance, the petitioner shall be released on interim bail on furnishing of bail bonds by him to the satisfaction of the Trial Court."
Counsel for the petitioner submits that in compliance with the said order, the petitioner appeared before the trial Court and on his appearance, he was released on interim bail.
In view of this development, no further orders are called for. Petition is disposed of.
