Prayer in the petition is for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the official respondents No.2 and 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners.

In compliance of the order dated 07.01.2021, affidavit of SubDivisional Police Officer (South) Chandigarh has been filed on behalf of respondents No.1 to 3, wherein, it has been deposed as under:- "4.

That it is respectfully submitted that official's of respondent No.3 approached the petitioner's at the address mentioned in the present petition and found that both the petitioners are not residing there. However, statements of parents of petitioner No.2, being Rajesh Kumar and Angoori SAVITA KADIAN 2021.01.25 15:27 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document High Court Chandigarh

CRWP No.86 of 2021 {2} were recorded. Therein, they have stated that they have no objection to the marriage. Translated copy of the same is herewith annexed as Annexure R-1. It is further pertinent to mention that in pursuance of this event, official's of respondent no.3 visited the address of parents of the petitioner no.1 (i.e.Manpreet Kaur) and recorded statement of her father Raspal Singh and mother Gurjeet Kaur (respondent No.4 & 5). Therein, they have stated that their daughter being major can take her own decision regarding her marriage. Further they have stated that they will not pressurise her nor harm her in any way. Translated copy of the same alongwith vernacular is annexed herewith as Annexure R-2 for the kind perusal of this Hon'ble Court."

In view of the above development, there is no perception of threat to the petitioners. No order is called for. The petition is disposed of.
