The petitioner prays for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent No.3 to grant and issue the timings in the joint time-table to operate on the allotted permit Nos. 10/Reg/SB/RTA/ SGR/2021 and 54/Reg/SB/RTA/SGR/2021.

The petitioner claims that the previous time table has come to an end and he is entitled to operate his buses because the respondents have not finalized the time table.

On 17.12.2021, the Principal Secretary, Department of Transport, Punjab, had assured that in future, the time-table, relating to the operation of the buses, shall be issued in advance i.e. before the expiry of the validity of the previous time table and the transporters shall not be compelled to approach the Court for the aforesaid reason.
