Jaswant Singh,J(Oral) Petitioner, a resident of Sector 21-A,Faridabad filed CWP 17848/2013 seeking direction to respondents to remove encroachments on public land and roads in Sector 21-A,Faridabad resulting into congestion, accidents, water logging etc. The said writ petition was disposed of vide order dated 16.8.2013 with a direction to respondents to take action in accordance with law.

Alleging disobedience of the said order, present contempt has been filed.

Upon notice,short reply by way of affidavit of Ashok Kumar Sharma,IAS, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation,Faridabad has been filed stating therein that as many as 100 encroachments, mostly in the form of grills, wire fencing etc., in front of houses in Sector 21-A,Faridabad have been removed on 6.1.2015. Photographs depicting removal of such encroachments have also been annexed with the said reply. COCP 1425/2014(O&M) that in view of the action taken by the respondents, the present contempt has become infructuous.
