Learned State counsel seeks to place on record reply by way of short affidavit of Jasbir Singh Bains, Director Agriculture, Punjab, SAS Nagar. Prayer is accepted. Affidavit is taken on record. Pursuant to order dated September 01, 2016, the deponent appeared before the Chief Judicial Magistrate and is present in court on being enlarged on bail. Learned State counsel has sought instructions from him and submits that order passed by writ court has been complied with. According to him, no cause of action survives in this petition. In view of above, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he may be allowed to withdraw this petition with liberty to avail alternative remedy, if any, cause of action survives.
