(Oral) The present petition has been filed for issuance of appropriate order or direction to the respondents for redressal of the grievance of the petitioner in respect of complaint dated 15.12.2020 (Annexure P6). Learned counsel submits that subsequent to the complaint dated 15.12.2020 (Annexure P6), no action on the said complaint has been taken despite repeated requestes made by the petitioner. Learned counsel submits that in fact the official respondents are intentionally sitting over the matter as respondent No.6 against whom the complaint has been made with respect to the assault is a senior police officer. The learned counsel in support of his submissions pertaining to the alleged assault by respondent No.6 has annexed photographs (Annexure P5) wherein the latter is shown to be assaulting the petitioner. On the asking of the Court, Mr. Rajiv Vij, Additional Public Prosecutor, U.T. Chandigarh, accepts notice. Keeping in view the limited prayer addressed by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 i.e. The Senior Superintendent of Police, U.T. Chandigarh, to look into the complaint dated 15.12.2020 (Annexure P6) of the petitioner and take appropriate steps expeditiously, preferably within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
