This matter is being taken up for hearing through video conferencing due to the outbreak of pandemic, COVID-19.

Prayer in this writ petition is for setting aside order dated 17.12.2021 whereby petitioner has been deputed/temporarily transferred for a period of six months from Pt. C.L.S. Government College, Karnal to Government College for Girls Gulha Cheeka, which is stated to be at a distance of 90 kms in another District.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that respondent - authorities have ignored the fact there are other faculty members in the same subject at Pt. C.L.S. Government College, Karnal having a much longer stay than the petitioner. Furthermore, petitioner having qualification of P.hd. etc. was taking PG classes whereas there is no facility for PG classes at the Government College for Girls, Gulha Cheeka. It is contended that as per UGC guidelines, petitioner should be assigned PG classes only, except in extra ordinary circumstances. It is further submitted that representation dated 20.12.2021 (Annexure P3) was also submitted before the authorities but to no avail. Ms. Kirti Singh, DAG, Haryana accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. Advance copy of writ petition stands supplied. Learned counsel for the respondents does not raise serious objection to the restricted prayer addressed. Keeping in view the limited prayer addressed, facts and circumstances of the case but without expressing any opinion on the merits thereof, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the competent authority, to decide representation dated 20.12.2021 (Annexure P3) by passing a speaking order, within a week from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
