...Respondents

CORAM: Hon'ble Mr. Justice Rakesh Kumar Jain

Present:

Mr. Mandeep K. Sajjan, Advocate, for the petitioner.

***** Rakesh Kumar Jain, J.

This petition is filed for the alleged disobedience of the order dated 29.09.2014 by which the parties were directed to maintain status quo till the appeal filed by the petitioner is decided by the Director, Department of Development and Panchayats, Punjab.

Counsel for the petitioner, with the help of photographs attached as Annexure P-3, has sought to argue that the respondents have violated the aforesaid order of status quo by taking possession of the land by installing a cemented pillar.

After hearing learned counsel for the petitioner and examining the available record, I am of the considered opinion that these facts are not sufficient to issue notice of contempt to the respondents. Consequently, the present petition is hereby dismissed being denuded of any merit.
