*** SANJEEV PRAKASH SHARMA, J. (ORAL) [1] This is an old case of 1979, which is shown as pending in the docket of the High Court of Punjab and Haryana. The Registry has listed the case, pointing out that the original file and documents relating to this WTC were burnt during the fire, which took place in 1996 and best efforts were made by the High Court to contact the parties and their advocates but no response was received. The Tax Authorities, who are required to be vigilant about their cases, have also not taken any steps. The petitionerKundal Lal has also not appeared. No counsel had appeared before us even as on today.
