The present petition has been filed under Section 438 Cr.P.C. for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in case FIR No.160 dated 07.07.2022, registered under Sections 21, 29, 61 and 85 of NDPS Act, at Police Station City-1, Malerkotla, District Malerkotla.

Learned counsel would contend that the petitioner was unable to surrender before the trial Court on or before 06.07.2023 in pursuance of the order dated 26.05.2022 passed by this Court, on account of the unforeseen medical emergency that necessitated immediate surgical intervention. He on instructions from the petitioner states that he is ready and willing to surrender before the trial Court and thus prays that his application for seeking regular bail be decided in a time bound manner.
