Petitioners retired from service on different dates while working on the substantive post of Social Welfare and Panchayat Officer. They were discharging duties of BDPOs on current duty charge. In CWP 14250/2016 they claimed arrears of difference of pay of two posts for shouldering duties of higher responsibilities on the principle of equal pay for equal work. The said writ petition was disposed of by this Court vide order dated 21.7.2016 directing official respondents to take a decision qua their demand after affording personal hearing. The needful was to be done within a period of two months from the date of receipt of certified copy of the order. Alleging disobedience of said order instant contempt has been made.

COCP 147/2017 Upon notice, reply by way of affidavit of Navraj Sandhu,Addl.Chief Secretary to Government of Haryana, Department of Development and Panchayats has been filed stating therein that in pursuance of the order dated 21.7.2016 passed by this Court finally the five petitioners namely S/Sh.Roshan Lal, Ishwar Singh, Ram Dutt Sharma, Ghanshayam Dass and Bhan Singh appeared on 10.3.2017 and their representation dated 10.3.2017 and legal notice dated 20.5.2016 was disposed of vide speaking order dated 10.3.2017, a copy of which has been annexed as Annexure R/3 with the reply filed herein. In view of stand taken by respondents, learned counsel for the petitioner prays for withdrawal of the instant contempt petition. Dismissed as withdrawn.
