Ltd. **** CM-2588-CII-2023 The instant application has been filed under Section 5 of the Limitation Act for condonation of 220 days delay in filing the appeal. For the reasons mentioned in the application, the same is allowed and delay of 220 days in filing the appeal is hereby condoned. As stated before this Court, the appellants would not claim interest for the said period of 220 days.

Main case As agreed, as per statement of learned counsel for the appellant (separately recorded) and learned counsel for the Insurance Company (separately recorded), a sum of Rs.7,75,000/- (Rupees Seven Lakhs Seventy Five Thousand Only) over and above the amount awarded by the Tribunal is allowed to the appellant in full and final settlement of the claim in this appeal. As per the statement of learned counsel for the appellants, the enhanced amount is to be paid to appellant No.1. Accordingly, we dispose of the present appeal with a direction to the Insurance Company to deposit a crossed-cheque for an amount of Rs.7,75,000/- ( Rupees Seven Lakhs Seventy Five Thousand Only), in the name of appellant No.

1-Sucha Singh with the office of the Lok Adalat of the High Court within a period of 08 weeks from today, in compliance of this order, failing which, interest @ 9% per annum shall follow on the above-said amount till payment from the date of this order. The concerned Officer of the Lok Adalat Branch/Office shall issue proper receipt, after receiving the cheque(s), to learned counsel/representative of the respondent-Insurance POONAM 2026.03.

Company. The appellant(s)' counsel/appellant(s) may collect the cheque(s) from the office of the Lok Adalat.

Copy of the order be supplied/sent to the counsel/parties and file be returned to the Hon'ble High Court.

All pending miscellaneous application, if any, stands disposed of.
