Rajan Gupta, J (Oral) Short reply by way of affidavit of Jatinder Singh Aulakh, Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana has been filed in court. Same is taken on record. Learned State counsel has referred to para 5 thereof, which reads as under:- "That it is pertinent to bring to the notice of the Hon'ble Court that the petitioners were associated in the enquiry process, therefore, it was with in the knowledge of the petitioners and the legal findings recorded by the DA (Legal) were duly communicated to the petitioners, wherein the Electoral Registration Officer recommended for initiating proceedings under Section 31 of the Representation of Peoples Act was non-cognizable in nature. Copy of the communication was duly served upon the petitioners as well as the Electoral Registration Officer with Vidhan Sabha Halqa Gill." In view of above, present petition has been rendered infructuous and is dismissed as such.
