*** Learned State counsel submits that the matter has been reconsidered by the Commissioner of Police, Amritsar. FIR No. 0486 dated 22.12.2016 has been registered at Police Station Division A, Amritsar City, under Sections 419, 420, 467, 468, 471 and 34 IPC. He submits that role of all persons whose names figure in the FIR shall be investigated and investigation of the case shall be supervised by an officer not below the rank of Deputy Commissioner of Police.

In view of above, no further direction is necessary. Contempt petition is hereby disposed of.

Petitioners shall, however, be at liberty to seek appropriate remedy, in case, any cause of action survives.
