The petitioners have approached this Court seeking grant of anticipatory bail in respect of a case registered against them vide FIR No.583, dated 18.12.2019, Police Station Sector 5, Panchkula, under Sections 406, 420 IPC.

The allegations, in nutshell as per the FIR lodged at the instance of Narinder Thakur are that the petitioners had fraudulently taken an amount of Rs.15 lakhs from him while representing that they would MOHAN SINGH 2021.08.10 17:49 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

Learned State counsel, upon instructions from ASI Narender Singh, has informed that pursuant to interim directions, the petitioners have since joined investigation and that the investigating agency is proceeding to file a cancellation report.

In view of the aforesaid submission wherein the petitioners are stated to have joined investigation and in fact even the investigating agency is proceeding to file a cancellation report, the custodial interrogation of the petitioners are certainly not warranted.
