The petitioners in compliance of the order dated 3.4.2017, whereby the age requirement was held to be 18 to 42 years for the purpose of recruitment to the post of ETT Teachers, have been held to be eligible, however, they have been denied appointment on account of no candidate lower in merit having been appointed in their respective category, vide speaking order dated 6.10.2017.

Counsel for the petitioners states that the aforesaid reason in the speaking order to deny appointment to the petitioners is incorrect, however, concedes that for seeking necessary relief, contempt jurisdiction is not the appropriate forum.

Dismissed.

Rule discharged.

Petitioners are free to challenge the speaking order dated 6.10.2017.
