(proceedings conducted through video conferencing) ***** GURVINDER SINGH GILL, J.(Oral) The petitioner seeks issuance of directions to respondents No.2 and 3 so as to protect his life and liberty as he apprehends threat to the same at the hands of respondent No.7-Manpreet Kaur wife of Parminder Singh, who is none else but daughter-in-law of the petitioner. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that his son Parminder Singh had solemnized marriage with Manpreet Kaur but somehow the marriage did not work well and consequently a petition under Section 10 of Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 was filed in the Court of learned Additional Civil Judge (Senior Division), Malerkotla but the same was subsequently withdrawn.

( 2 ) CRWP-170-2021 (O&M) It has been submitted that subsequently the petitioner's son started living with another lady also named as Manpreet Kaur widow of Lakhwinder Singh in a 'live-in' relationship and apprehending threat to their lives and they approached this Court seeking security by way of filing CRWP-5887 of 2020 which was disposed of vide order date 13.8.2020. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that he has been residing separately from his son and has nothing to do with his marital relationship but somehow his daughter-in-law in order to wreak vengeance since her husband i.e. petitioner's son is residing with another lady, has been harassing the petitioner through police and that the petitioner is being called time and again to the police station and being harassed unnecessarily.
Having heard learned counsel for the petitioner and while refraining from making any expression as regards veracity of averments made in the petition, the petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2-Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana, District Ludhiana, Punjab to ensure that the petitioner is not unnecessarily called to the police station time and again in respect of any dispute pertaining to marital relationship of petitioner's son.
A copy of this order be sent to respondent No.2-Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana, District Ludhiana, Punjab so as to enable him to do the needful at the earliest.
