Learned State counsel, at the outset, has drawn the attention of this Court to Para No. 8 of the affidavit dated 26.02.2024 filed by Sh. Nirmal Singh, PPS, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Sub-Division Central, Jalandar on behalf of respondent Nos.1 to 3, wherein it has been categorically averred that there is no alleged threat perception to the life and liberty of the petitioners and the dispute between the parties has already been adjudicated by this Court in a petition bearing No.CRWP-872023. It has been thus, asserted that it is essentially on account of some property/land dispute between the parties that this petition has been preferred seeking protection of life and liberty. Learned State counsel submits that in the circumstances, no ground is made out to issue directions to the official respondents as there is no threat perception. However, learned State counsel undertakes that in future if any such threat perception comes to light, the official respondents will take due steps to protect life and liberty of the petitioners. 4.
